ACE Winter SOAR Now Accepting Walk-Ins!

First, we want to thank all those who sent in their registrations!  We were not expecting the turnout we had last year, after all ACE is about coasters and Diamondback is a heck of a draw!  As those of you who have been to EnterTrainment Junction will attest, you will not be disappointed.  What ACE’r doesn’t like trains, funhouses, food and prizes?!

Second, although we have a limit of 75 for this Saturday’s event, we still have a few more openings left.  EnterTRAINment has been nice enough to work with us and allow walk-ins and have ensured us that if we happen to pass the 75 mark that they will still accommodate everyone!  The cost will be $23 (cash only) for all day-of registrations for everyone. Remember this event is open to everyone, ACE member or not.

Check-in will be from 10:30am to 5:00pm with the first tours starting at 1:30.  We recommend you arrive no later than 2:00 to ensure you have sufficient time to take in all that EnterTRAINment has to offer, as well as attend a tour.

Please spread the word and come out and join in the fun.

Winter SOAR Registration Deadline Approaches

For those of you who have not registered for this years Winter SOAR, do so now!  There is no on-site registration, and the deadline for sending in your registration is this Saturday, February 20.  We are limited to 75 attendees this year and are well on our way to filling up, so register now to ensure your place.

Included is unlimited access to Train Journey, American Railroading Museum, Imagination Junction, and Funhouse Junction at EnterTrainment Junction!  In addition there will be behind the scenes tours of Funhouse Junction and Train Journey, dinner, and presentations.  See the flyer for all the details.

Remember, you don’t have to be an ACE member, or a guest, anyone is welcome.  $20.00 for ACE members, $23.00 for non-members.

2010 ACE Winter SOAR

Our 7th annual winter event approaches fast, time to print out the flyer, write those checks, and send in your registration.  Do it now, as there is only room for 75 and there will be no on-site registration.

We have lined up a fabulous event this year.  Our host is EnterTrainment Junction, where you will have unlimited access to Train Journey, American Railroading Museum, Imagination Junction, and Funhouse Junction!  In addition there will be behind the scenes tours of Funhouse Junction and Train Journey.  As well as dinner and presentations as usual.  EnterTrainment Junction closes to the public at 6:00, which is when our dinner will start, with the presentations beginning shortly thereafter.

Zoom & SOAR Information

Adam Wasiljov, who is spear heading this event will be at Kings Island this Saturday, July 25th if you want to bring your registration to him.  He can take cash or check. We need 50 people min to have the event.  If we do not have 50, the event will be cancelled.

This is just a reminder that the deadline for ZOOM & SOAR is approaching.  As of right now, we do not have enough registrations to have the event. If you intend to go to Zoom & SOAR at Zoombezi Bay, please get your registration in by early next week.

We are in the planning stages for the fall event at Kings Island, which will be held on October 24th. Details and registration will be coming in the next few weeks for that.

Zoom & SOAR to be Held August 8th, 2009

The ACE Southern Ohio Region announces that a new event Zoom & SOAR will be held at The Columbus Zoo/Zoombezi Bay Waterpark on August 8th, 2009.  It’s been 6 years since our region has held an event at this park. We are bringing the event back with more to do than before.  The entire zoo is included with the event, and a very nice meal has been planned. We will get ERT on 3 of the best rides in the park. For those flyer lovers, snapping is allowed on the flyers. We also get to ride some of the best bumper cars around, along with the only original classic roller coaster in the state! Come on out and join your SOAR friends on August 8th at Zoombezi Bay. Registration deadline is July 25th.

Zoombezi Event-Details Coming Soon

Stay tuned to the website. We are finalizing plans for a summer event later in the summer for an event at Zoombezi Bay.  Just for a teaser, we are planning on ERT on Ohio’s best bumper car ride, and the snappable Flying Scooters.  The event will include zoo admission.  More details will follow soon.

Food Network Photo Shoot at Six Flags Great America

Six Flags Great America and the Food Network have invited coaster enthusiasts for dinner!!  They are looking for 250 people for a Food Network production on Friday June 12th.  This is a free event to all coaster enthusiast and their guests (less the gate admission)  There is a 3 person limit on guests.  All participants will be fed dinner and be a part of something special involving the Food Network.  So if you like food (and what ACEr doesn’t?) this is a great chance for a good free meal.

Registration is 2 – 5 pm.
Event is from 630- 830.

ACE Midwest STORM July 11th
